Honey Bee is Becoming a Busy Bee~

 I am excited with my upcoming event at Cube, SHISHA + WINE NIGHT to celebrate Merdeka in advance on this Saturday night! Friends and all Shisha lovers, if you have no plan, come to CUBE and indulge yourself with some good food,wine and shisha! AND you will definitely enjoy the ambience and the GOOD crowd of people there! 

Anyhoo~ A quick update from my side, i know i haven't been updating for a freaking long time! I really need to fix my schedule ! Thanks to Jacq for helping me out alot on my blogs, facebook events and taking photos~!

Am busy with events as usual ! But looking forward to watch 'UP' the movie on this Sat with some friends!! Cant wait, will be bringing a box of tissue to cry, as Dino has warned me about the touching part of the movie! *sniff sniff* ! Care to join me? ;p

Intro to Improv workshop

“Improvisation is the practice of acting, singing, talking and reacting, of making and creating, in the moment and in response to the stimulus of one's immediate environment and inner feelings.” – Wikipedia.

This workshop introduces people with little or no experience to improvisation in a non-judgmental and fun way. Basic skills that we will touch on are listening, relaxing, being in the moment, non-verbal communication, and failing in order to succeed. Great for people looking for a fun & creative outlet, improving public speaking skills or work on their leadership or acting skills. 

Organized by Aaron Kual and the next one will be on the 25th july!

A Night with Tonic BlackOut~

Jazz night at Cube

I was pretty impressed with SIA's band called Tonic Blackout especially the percussionist! He looked so cool sitting on the 'box' (percussion) and playing it. Watch the video and you will know what i mean. 

The vocalist and all guitarists were great too! Carlota Loh came as our special guest appearance and she blew everyone off! I liked the way she sang 'Belaian Jiwa'! 

And one of the guitarist sang 'Home' by Chris Daughtry! Not too bad! Will definitely want them back again! Customers were crazy about them and they didnt want to let the band go so they had to stayed back for another hour!

Took a few photos before work

Feel like wearing a maxi dress today and so i did!

Bought a new thong sandal from a shoe shop called 'Red Red Red' from my last SG trip! They have such lovely shoes there!! I bought 2 and both was on sale! Couldnt resist it! :p

The dress is from A/X, mom bought it for me. At first the colour and flower print looked oldies so i put on a chunky belt to make it more chic!

This thong sandal is perfect match for long dress/skirt! 

                                                                  

Run, Mei, Run~

I am currently in a Leadership program organized by ECI (their link is on my blog, Liveyourmark). It's a 9 months program and I have 3 1/2 more months to go. In this leadership program, it helps you to stretch and break your barriers and the limit that you have set for yourself. I always feel that i can do much more in my life but i never had the courage or the energy to do so many things. I was afraid to fail, to fall, to break and never believe in myself i could do it again. I run so many conversations in my head and wasting my time thinking so much and not making it happen.

Alas~ finally i took on this leadership journey and WOW, i won't lie to you but it is really, really TOUGH! People didnt understand what the fuck im doing and i dont intend to explain every single detail because they will never ever understand what i am going thru! From the day i took TCC (the courage to create) workshop that changes my whole freaking life, i never really care what people think of me. It's my life, i live for myself and not for others. 

Everyone has issues and areas they want to improve on. The problem is some of us never learn how to deal or overcome or improve them. It's always "Its okie, it will go away soon", "Life's that lar", "Dont know, who cares", "I will make it happen in 5 years time". And soon, all these problems will clutter together and it will be harder to solve and you will start running away, far, far away! 

When did you stop dreaming? Thinking that there's no point of dreaming about it anymore. I should move on and forget the past. Come on, be honest! You believe that you actually have move on and no, you dont just forget the past, you are only putting them aside, you block them out! As i said, some of us never know how to deal with them.

Anyway, for those who have read "Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho, my leadership journey is similar to the main character.

Dessert lovers meet the Magic Man

Our last dessert night was a fun one! We hired a Magician to entertain the kids! Imagine you have a whole bunch of kiddies following you around and keep asking "how did you do that? how did you that? show me again! show me! show me!" Hehe~

At least the kids enjoyed it!

FATHER'S DAY

On Popsy's day, my baby brother and I made breakfast in bed for Dad! My dad has everything and we really dont know what to get for him. Get him a card, he will stuff it in the drawer, meaningless lar! He has hundreds of ties, suits, collar shirts, whatever lar, he has almost everything! Dont you all have the same problem too?

Anyway, woke up at 9am to cook and i only had 4 hrs sleep cos was up partying on Sat! Ha~

Cooked scramble eggs, sausage, tomato stuff with more scramble eggs & cheese and then some toast and JUICE! HEALTHY!

Knocked on door and SURPRISE! My dad couldnt stop smiling for the whole day!
